Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-07-04 · v1.0

1. Overview

FomoLog ("the Service") can be used identically for all content and features without logging in, in which case no personal information is collected on the server. Favorite reports, watchlist, and alert settings are stored only in your browser’s local storage (IndexedDB) and are never sent to the server. The items below apply only when you choose to use social login.

2. Personal Information Collected and How

When you sign in with a social login (Kakao/Naver), we receive the following from the provider: name (nickname), email address, profile image, and provider account identifier. We do not collect or store a separate password. Information generated while signed in: favorites sync data (report ID, ticker, group name), and company coverage request content (company name, ticker, note — submitted without author info if not signed in). An encrypted session cookie (JWT) is used to maintain your session.

3. Purpose of Use

Collected information is used only for (1) account identification and session maintenance, (2) syncing favorite reports/stocks across devices, and (3) managing intake of company coverage requests. We do not use it for marketing, share it with third parties, profile users, or provide differentiated content based on login status.

4. Retention and Destruction

Account information and synced data are destroyed immediately when you delete your account (Settings > Account > Delete Account). On deletion, your account, linked info, and synced favorites are removed immediately; company requests remain with the author link removed (anonymized). Local browser data (IndexedDB) is unrelated to the server and can be deleted directly from Settings > My Data. Where law requires retention, data is stored separately for the required period before destruction.

5. Third-Party Sharing and Processing

We do not share collected personal information with third parties. Authentication during social login is governed by each provider’s (Kakao/Naver) own privacy policy. If cloud infrastructure (hosting/database) processing is outsourced for service operation, the scope will be disclosed in this policy before it takes effect.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

Essential cookies: an encrypted session token for login (created only when signed in). Local storage: theme setting (localStorage), favorites (IndexedDB) — never sent to the server. Ads: the Service may display Google AdSense auto ads, and Google may use cookies for ad delivery. This follows Google’s ad policy and privacy policy; the Service does not provide user personal information to Google for advertising purposes.

7. User Rights

At any time, you may (1) log out, (2) delete your account (immediate destruction), and (3) export local data as JSON or clear it entirely, directly from the Settings screen. Additional requests such as access or correction can be submitted through our contact channel.

8. Contact and Effective Date

The contact channel (email) for privacy inquiries will be announced in this policy at official launch. This policy is effective as of the date below, and any changes will be announced in-service 7 days before taking effect.
